What

CAHSI is a national alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions and private and public sector partners, and it plays a pivotal role recruiting, retaining, and advancing its students in computing.

We are four-year and two-year universities and colleges committed to graduating students who are competitive in the computing workforce and academia.

Why

We are motivated to strengthen the field of computing by working as a collective to:

  • accelerate educational models that effectively support the broad communities served by our institutions,
  • empower our students to become future leaders in a competitive computing workforce, and
  • build research capacity that leads to innovations and novel solutions.

How

We do this by serving as a catalyst for research and institutional capacity building through:

  • advocacy,
  • data-and knowledge-informed
    decision-making,
  • mutually-reinforcing activities across collaborative networks, and
  • adoption of research- and evidence-based practices.
