CAHSI Testimonials
"A pivotal moment came during my freshman year when I joined CAHSI-sponsored initiatives like the Great Minds in STEM Conference and local REU opportunities. I found a community of like-minded individuals passionate about technology and learning. This opened doors to being elected to the e-board of ACM, expanding my network, and considering graduate school."
Kimberly Opara (UG)Kean University
"Since I have been part of CAHSI, I have seen how important it is to surround yourself with the right people. Thanks to participating in Affinity Research Groups (ARG) I met amazing people who were smarter than me and feel very thankful for that. They not only shared their knowledge but also motivated me to push beyond my own limits and improve myself.”
Gabriel Viera Perez (UG) University of Puerto Rico
“My passion for providing support and resources to others was central to my role as an advocate, and I take pride in knowing that my contributions have made a tangible impact on students’ lives.”
Andy Berrios (MS) University of Houston Downtown
“My passion for advocacy stems from the desire to see more Hispanic and female representation in STEM fields. Participating in Research Experiences for Undergraduates at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi furthered my technical skills in deep learning and resulted in a research publication presented at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Zurich, Switzerland.”
Maria Santos Perez (UG)Kean University
