POLICY

CAHSI has a focus on advocacy and promotion of education policies and institutional practices that support academic achievement of Hispanic students in computing fields. In this effort, the CAHSI backbone will coordinate with Excelencia in Education and Drs. Anne Marie Nunez and David Knight to set priorities, objectives, activities, and benchmarks for shared action; develop, design, and release national policy briefs; and coordinate national briefings on policy efforts and on the impact of the Alliance’s efforts to increase Hispanic representation and attainment in computing. Excelencia in Education has been a national leader in higher education policy regarding the needs of Latino/a students.
