Miao Yin

Assistant Professor, University of Texas at Arlington

Dr. Miao Yin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). His research interests include artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), tensor decomposition, edge computing, high-performance computing, and AI for science. Specifically, his research aims to improve the efficiency and security of AI with software/hardware co-design and democratize AI to real-world applications. He has worked closely with industry and has been a researcher at Google, AWS AI Labs, and Samsung Research America. Dr. Yin is the recipient of the Rising STARs award from UT System. He has published his works at various top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ISCA, PPoPP, IROS, AAAI, and ICCAD. Dr. Yin is dedicated to motivating students from underrepresented groups, including females, Hispanics, and other minorities, to conduct cutting-edge research and pursue higher degrees. He serves as a committee member and mentor of the (CAHSI) REU program at UTA.
