Habeeb Olufowobi

Assistant Professor, University of Texas at Arlington

Dr. Olufowobi is an assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. His research focuses on cyber-physical systems (CPS) security and the trustworthiness of emerging network technologies for connected autonomous vehicles, the Internet of things (IoT), and vehicular cloud networks. His research addresses challenges arising from the growing use of embedded devices in critical infrastructures, satisfying the overlapping and interdependent constraints of security, safety, and speed of embedded systems. Dr. Olufowobi has established himself as a burgeoning vehicular CPS and IoT security expert and has experience working with live vehicles (including at ORNL and the CyberAuto/CyberTruck challenges). He has introduced different approaches to securing vehicular networks and IoT systems. His investigative approach to research has allowed students to develop a comprehensive understanding of the basic building block of the distributed Internet of vehicle ecosystem.
