Dr. Ben Steichen is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Dr. Steichen's research focuses on Human-Centered Computing and Personalized Information Access, which involves techniques and concepts from the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Information Retrieval & Visualization, and Web & Information Science. Dr. Steichen leads the hapii lab (human-centered, adaptive, and personalized information interaction), which researches novel computing solutions to understand and support each individual person.
