Dr. SafaeiPour is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. He obtained a Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of Texas at San Antonio under the supervision of Prof. Elias Bou-Harb. His research focuses on machine learning and cyber-security, which he applies artificial intelligence techniques to large-scale, empirical data for the analysis of Internet security and the online environment. He constructs systems that monitor complex networked ecosystems and uses the resulting viewpoint to comprehend online behavior, identify vulnerabilities, design more resilient protocols/platforms, guide policy decisions, create decision support systems, and generate cyber threat intelligence.
