Title: Assistant Professor, Northeastern Illinois University
Dr. Leesha Shah explores how technical systems, effective processes, and social structures integrate as socio-technical ecosystems that surface ways to optimally use limited resources in a community. Specifically, she investigates how such ecosystems can scale effective learning environments, where students learn to self-direct complex work in communities with limited mentoring resources. She takes a design-based research approach, and works at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Learning Sciences (LS), and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Dr. Shah received her Ph.D., M.S. and B.A. in Computer Science and Communication Studies at Northwestern University.
