Research Expertise

Dr. Chakraborti is an assistant professor in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago. His research interests are in the intersection of cryptography and systems, and aims to solve real-world problems with cryptographic tools. In recent years, he has focussed on building secure databases and cloud computing technologies, end-to-end encrypted messaging applications, and cryptographic tools for autonomous vehicle communication. He has also co-authored two monographs on secure cloud computing. Before joining UIC, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University, and he obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
