Research Expertise
Qiuxiao Chen received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University (China) in 2018, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Utah State University in 2023. She joined the faculty ranks at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) in 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science & Engineering. She is passionate about developing intelligent systems that contribute to a sustainable future. She is pioneering novel AI techniques for BEV map segmentation and 3D object detection, advancing the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving. Her novel work extends to the development of AI-powered solutions for health-informed sustainability, a critical area with the potential to revolutionize environmental protection and public health. She is driven by a vision of creating intelligent sustainable systems that can perceive, understand, and positively interact with the world around them.
