Title: Associate Professor
Tsz-Chiu Au is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University.
His research aims to scientifically investigate the foundations of multiagent systems, specifically multirobot systems, using techniques such as heuristic search, dynamic programming, motion planning, domain-independent planning, machine learning, automated reasoning, game theory, etc. The topics of his recently funded projects are 1) high-density parking lots for autonomous vehicles, 2) traffic speed and congestion prediction for broadcast stations, 3) high-performance deep learning systems for disaster management, 4) telepresence security robot teams, and 5) AI companions for the elderly. He is an associate editor of IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters and an advisory board member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Technical Committee on Algorithms for Planning and Control of Robot Motion.
Multiagent systems, multirobot systems, task and motion planning, automated planning, intelligent transportation systems, and game theory.
