William Beksi

Assistant Professor, University of Texas at Arlington

Dr. Beksi is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Arlington. His research interests include robot perception, human-robot interaction, and autonomous systems. He has been actively working with researchers from the DoD, USDA, and industry on problems at the intersection of robotics and computer vision. Dr. Beksi is dedicated to motivating and involving females, minorities, military veterans, and persons with disabilities in cutting-edge research. Currently, he is the Ph.D. advisor of a Hispanic graduate student, and the research experiences for undergraduates (REU) advisor of an African American student. In the past, Dr. Beksi was a participant in a CAHSI BPC Local REU and a faculty mentor through the UT System Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program.
