Tom Pearson

Division Chair, Business and Computing Studies

Tom Pearson is a faculty lead for CAHSI in the Arizona sub-region.  He is the Chair for the Business and Computing Studies Division at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. He also teaches Red Hat Linux, cybersecurity, and Cisco Networking, classes. He is the program coordinator for the college's cybersecurity program, Red Hat Academy, Cisco Academy, Microsoft Academy, and VMware Academy. In addition, Tom is the chair of the IT and Cybersecurity Industry Sector Collaborative for the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), which consists of 10 colleges in the Greater Phoenix area. Tom Pearson holds a Certified Ethical Hacker certification from the EC-Council, a B.S. in Computer Science from Hawaii Pacific University, and an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. Prior to joining academia, he worked in the IT field for over 12 years, with positions ranging from computer desktop support to server administration and network engineering. Tom also served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, where he worked in electronics on ground based air defense radars.
