Associate Professor, Florida International University
Dr. Xie is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Florida International University. His research interests are in many aspects of algorithmic and complexity theory, including property testing, local computation algorithms, Fourier analysis of Boolean functions, circuit complexity and coding theory. His research has been supported by NSF, US Army Research Office, U.S. Air Force Research Lab Summer Faculty Fellowship Program, and the Army xTech Program. Dr. Xie has aligned his research focus in designing super-efficient (i.e. sublinear) time algorithms to cope with the challenges of big data.
