Dr. Juan (Jenny) Li has been a faculty member of Kean school of computer science and technology since 2013. Prior to Kean, she was a leading research scientist at formerly Bell Labs for 18 years. Her research interest includes testing, validation, and reliability of network systems and now AI/ML systems. She has published over 100 papers and holds 20 patents in the field. She is a recipient of many internal and external research and education grants, including NSF, STEMPact, McNair, LSAMP, NCWIT, and Google.
Dr. J. Li is a faculty member of Kean University, a Hispanic serving institution. She is the NJ coordinator for NCWIT since 2014. Over 50% of students she has mentored were Hispanic. She applied for Google exploreCSR to recruit and retain Hispanic female researchers in the AI/ML field. Her student Thayssa M. Silva received STEMPact research award under her advisement.
